A well-known, global trading and financial services firm is seeking a Global Benefits Specialist to join their Human Resources team. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role sitting at the intersection of benefits administration, compliance, and data analytics. The position works closely with the Global Benefits Manager and HR Operations team to deliver a seamless benefits experience for employees across the US and internationally.

About the Role

This person will serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits and leave of absence inquiries, managing everything from day-to-day program administration to complex compliance and reporting needs. The ideal candidate is someone who is equally comfortable responding to employee questions, diving into data, and ensuring the firm’s benefits programs remain compliant and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administration of US benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, EAP, and voluntary benefits, with support for global programs as needed
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits and leaves of absence, ensuring timely and positive resolution
  • Manage the end-to-end US leave of absence process including eligibility, documentation, compliance, and return-to-work coordination
  • Oversee global benefits invoicing and reconciliation, validating vendor bills and resolving discrepancies
  • Ensure all US benefits programs remain compliant with applicable regulations including ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and relevant state laws
  • Analyze benefits data, costs, utilization, and trends. and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Build and maintain global benefits dashboards and reporting metrics
  • Support US open enrollment activities and assist with global renewal efforts
  • Assist with 401(k) non-discrimination testing and the annual audit process
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline benefits administration and reporting

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate brings 2–3 years of benefits administration and analytics experience, a solid working knowledge of US benefits programs and leave compliance, and strong Excel and data skills. Experience with Workday or other global HRIS platforms is a plus. This person should be a clear communicator, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
