Senior Compensation Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our client’s team. In this hybrid role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals. You will manage market pricing, salary benchmarking, and pay equity initiatives, among other projects, with a focus on supporting a transparent and inclusive pay structure. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the company to drive compensation best practices and administer key processes.
Location: Chicago, West Loop
Schedule: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite per week
Compensation: $105,000 – $115,000 based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct job evaluations across all levels to ensure market-competitive compensation practices.
- Oversee the annual merit increase process, partnering with leadership to support pay-for-performance initiatives.
- Design and implement wage structures, incentives, and rewards programs in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct pay equity reviews to promote fairness across roles and responsibilities.
- Prepare presentations, scorecards, and trend analyses to support compensation program reviews with senior leadership.
- Advise and support people leaders with compensation-related issues and partner with Talent Acquisition on offer processes.
- Participate in industry surveys to assess and maintain competitive compensation structures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of compensation experience (focused on base pay, incentive programs, benchmarking, and pay equity).
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel experience, with proficiency in formulas and tables.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify problems and implement change as needed.
